handwoven straps to span centuries.

Growing up in the past, I began a career as a historical living history reenactor at the tender age of three, and a weaver by the time I was thirteen. I spent over twenty-five years perfecting the art, weaving period rifle and accoutrement straps for reenactors, museums, movies, and television worldwide. The job took it’s toll upon my wrists, and after struggling with tendonitis and carpal tunnel, I shifted my work to another passion—story-telling. The bulk of this website showcases my literary work, yet I created this page as a nod to my own history, and the traditional arts we are losing in this modern world. The straps I create here in my spare time reflect the traditions of the past, and a largely forgotten piece of America’s roots—the art of making by hand. Straps and Sashes posted here are in stock, and therefore, will be changing based upon availability.
